Chimpanzees are most likely to live in the tropical rainforest found in Hither Lands in Planet Arda. Chimps will be well adapted to this biome. They are most likely to survive in tropical rain forests, this is what makes Hither Lands' rainforest a better environment for chimpanzees to live in and adapt.
Climate and Physical Settings of Hither Lands' Tropical Rainforest:
The tropical rainforest found in Hither Lands is located on and near the equator. Since Hither Lands is located on and near the equator, the climate is very warm but moist and wet. This is why a tropical rainforest is best suited here, and chimpanzees live in tropical rainforests. More chimps live in Hither Lands because there is more rainforest and savannas, which is where chimps are most likely to be found. The climate of Hither Lands is very warm, or has extremely high temperatures. What makes an area a rain forest is that they receive a lot of rain and the area is very warm and most. As you can already imagine Hither Lands gets even higher temperatures when the rain and the warmth of the place interact. When it comes to physical settings all there is to see in this part of Hither Lands, the rainforest, is green everywhere. Trees are very tall, the tress serve as a home or place to sleep for chimpanzees, and most of the plant life on the ground receive very little sunlight making it hard for them to grow. There will not be very much plant life on the ground in the tropical rainforest. However if many plants are epiphytes, and stick or depend on a host, a tree, to survive than plant life can be found on the tree trunks. Since the rainforest consists of green everywhere, animals take this as an advantage to hid well or camouflage to escape danger.

Environmental Changes:
10 million years ago, Hither Lands was completely different from present day today. As you can see on these two images, the image from 10 million years ago includes Hither Lands, but it is connected with Rhun and Beleriand. However present day today contains Hither Lands as a single island you can say, it is only surrounded by ocean and no other land. Over the years Hither Lands started departing, breaking apart, from Rhun and Beleriand. Yes Hither Lands did contain many mountain ranges, as seen in the images, both back then and today. Although, you can see as Hither Lands started departing from the other lands locations, it got smaller, reduced in size, and its mountain ranges, also shifted to the left. The mountain ranges still cover the area from "head to toe" they spread throughout Hither Lands, from the north tip to the south tip. The mountain ranges are a feature from Hither Lands that have not changed from many years ago, they are still here even today. The area however did get smaller in size when the lands started to separate. Another change that you can see in these images is that when Hither Lands did separate from Rhun, it shifted downwards, locating itself even more closer to the equator. Maybe back then the climate wasn't that warm, but now that the land is located near the equator even more, this land in general is more warm and moist. This area was made for a tropical rainforest, where chimpanzees are mostly found. A rainforest is an area where it is very warm, and wet or moist. The climate from Hither Lands from 10 million years ago is totally different from Hither Lands' climate in present day today. This is due to the location, ever since Hither Lands separated from Rhun and shifted, or moved downwards, to the south, the climate got warmer. The climate in present day Hither Lands in much warmer than the climate in Hither Lands from 10 million years ago. The mountain ranges are physical appearances on a map that have not changes and the climate can also be seen on a map, but the climate and location of Hither Lands have changed over 10 million years.
Impact on other Organisms:
This biome survives as a great place to protect chimpanzees from it's predators and from becoming extinct. Having trees everywhere in the rainforest, in Hither Lands' rainforest, helps chimps stay away from their predators. In the way of being able to hid and stay away from the predators that are out to get them. Up on the trees, leopards nor humans can hunt for chimps. Having tall trees in the rainforest that serve as homes and places to hid for chimps is an advantage or benefit for them. They will not be killed, and since they're endangered species, their population will increase instead of decrease. Since chimps are omnivores, they mostly eat plants and nuts and fruits. Those plants, that camouflage with the surroundings in the rainforest, will increase in population. Chimpanzees will not be able to find their food that they mostly eat if the plants camouflage with their surroundings. This benefits the plants but not the chimps, if there's no plants to eat the chimps will be left with no food to eat and starve. However there are still some other plants or fruits like bananas and also seed and sometimes fish or other animals, the food will mostly likely never run out for chimpanzees. Chimpanzees don't really have much competition with any other organism for food. Other monkeys may step foot on the chimp's territory looking for food, but that is when chimpanzees are out looking for food in other areas. But there is really not much competition between chimps and other animals for food. This benefits both animal species, none will fight nor compete for food and loose members of their group. The competition only causes animals to fight and lose members decreasing their population. If chimps were to run out of food to eat, that meant they would start dying off and than the predators of chimps would have nothing eat and those predators will die as well. All species would be impacted if producers' population would decrease, whether its herbivores, omnivores, or carnivores and even decomposers.
